The College Woman's Club of Westfield was founded in 1917 for the purpose of furthering higher education for women. Our primary mission is the awarding of annual scholarships to young women from Westfield. The club numbers approximately 300 women Membership in the College Woman's Club is open to any area woman with a degree from a 4-year college or university.
The club meets periodically throughout the year for member coffees, holiday programs and other events. Recent scholarship fundraisers have included talks on travel and architecture with noted local professionals.
Several interest groups cover a variety of subjects ranging from books and cuisine to golf and bridge.
Downtown Trick or Treat & Costume Contest On Sunday, Oct. 26, join us downtown for the annual Downtown Trick or Treat (11 am to 3 pm this year) and Costume Contest at 3:30 pm on Quimby Street. Look for flyers in windows of participating merchants. Also, the Y's Men Club will have their Annual Parade and Costume Contest at the Elm Street field starting at 11:30 am ending at Mindowaskin Park bandstand.
