Contact the Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC), the management entity of the Special Improvement District. Began as Main Street Westfield in 1993, the organization is run by a staff of three, a volunteer board of directors, and various committees. Downtown Westfield is one of only 32 designated Main Street communities in NJ, and over 1,200 nationally.

The vision of the Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC) is for Westfield, NJ to be a preferred destination where people want to live, work and visit.

Mission

The Downtown Westfield Corporation, a New Jersey Main Street Community, is dedicated to promoting Downtown Westfield as a preferred destination. The DWC is committed to strengthening the downtown Special Imrovement District as the center of community life. This includes improving the District's economic viability by supporting existing businesses and encouraging the establishment of new enterprises and cultural activities that complement existing stores and services.

The DWC will focus on making Downtown Westfield a safer, cleaner and more attractive pedestrian environment, with adequate public parking in order to serve the needs of local residents and attract new shoppers and visitors from throughout the region. It is also the goal of the DWC to preserve the rick architectural legacy of the downtown area.

DWC is both the management entity of the Special Improvement District as well as the nationally designated Main Street Community. The four points of a designated Main Street community includes Design, Economic Development, Organization, and Promotions.
