Food & Wine Highlights in March

Besides Dine Out Westfield, there are many other things going on for foodies this month.

The Brick Oven to Continue Prix Fixe Lunch

Custom Salad Bar at Casa Di Pizza

Casa Di Pizza features a "create your own" custom salad bar with over thirty different toppings to choose from, including fresh grilled shrimp, chicken breast and Icelandic salmon. Their homemade soups are also a fan favorite made daily. Either a salad or a soup (or both) creates a healthy option on an already great menu! 50 Elm St., 908.654.3232.

Spring Truffles and Fresh Fruit Sorbets at The Chocolate Bar

The Chocolate Bar is jumping into Spring with fresh dipped spring truffles and store made Easter bunnies! Stop in to taste the coconut and new fresh fruit sorbets. Chocolates and gelato are made daily in the store from the finest quality and freshest ingredients by Neil, owner since 2004. 112 Quimby St., 908.389.9000.

Fish for Lent at Westfield Seafood

March starts off with Ash Wednesday on the 1st.  Fish is great every day, but for those who are "religious" about eating fish during Lent, Westfield Seafood will have good variety of fresh fish for your cooking as well as hot prepared meals for takeout till Easter, and all year. 220 South Ave. W., 908.233.3042.

Bone Broth at Fresh Bui

Fresh Bui, a place for fresh juices, smoothies, acai bowls, teas, and more is offering bone broth rich in minerals. Bone broth supports the immune system, alleviates join pain, heals your damaged gut, supports your liver, aids in growing luscious locks, and provides skin with collagen. With all these health benefits, you can have fewer sick days. 57 Elm St., 908. 233.1377.

Jersey Mike's Subs Gives to Special Needs Charity

March is the 'Month of Giving' at Jersey Mike's Subs. As in the past, they have chosen as their charity the special needs programs at the Westfield Y.  During the month, customers can donate $1, $3 or $5 at the register. March 29 is their 'Day of Giving' where all proceeds will be donated to the Y.  Because the owners grew up in town and the Y was a part of their childhood, they are very happy to support such a wonderful organization. 144 E. Broad St., 908.233.6002.

Rock 'n' Joe Coffee Bar Tasting & Live Music

Stop in to Rock n Joe's for a free coffee tasting of their March Coffee of the Month, Planadas, a Colombian medium roast with a warm spice aroma. Enjoy favorites from the 60's and 70's with this acoustic band. For St Patrick's Day, enjoy a green bagel, Taylor ham, egg and cheese at 50% off. Erin go Bragh! 20 Prospect St., 908.232.1660.
