The New Jersey Workshop for the Arts Music Studio is presently offering a new and innovative program for very young musicians.
Intended for toddlers, preschoolers, and children to age 9, Music FunTime students will use musical crafts, worksheets, games and instruments in an exciting way to explore the arts. The program is based on Johns Hopkins Research that very young children can learn to read music notation and play musical instruments, while fostering their ability to grasp math and science.
The program contains a multi-level, structured, comprehensive and progressive curriculum. Through a “play center” it incorporates how to read staff music, rhythm, note values and time signatures and applies this to rhythm instruments, keyboard work, sing along, music appreciation and movement.
The popularity and success of the program has led to many locations of Music FunTime throughout the United States and Canada. The NJWA is pleased to be able to offer the program to children in the Westfield area.
Registration for Music FunTime is ongoing. Visit the Music Studio at 150-152 East Broad Street in Westfield, call 908-789-9696, email email@example.com, or visit www.njworkshopforthearts.com for more information.
