NJWA Flute Ensemble Registers for Summer Session

The New Jersey Workshop for the Arts Music Studio will offer a Flute Ensemble this summer for flute players of all ages, with a minimum age of 12. Auditions for the musical group will take place on June 19, at 5:00 pm at the NJWA Music Studio. The ensemble will run until August 2 and perform at various locations in downtown Westfield. Players should have at least one year of playing experience on the flute.  They should be able to play scales in C Major, F Major, B Flat Major, G Major and a 2 Octave Chromatic Scale.

The Ensemble will be directed by Kaitlyn Killeen, a member of the former NJWA Flute Ensemble.  Ms. Killeen has played flute for 12 years and has been a member of the Scotch Plains Fanwood Wind Ensemble and the Susquehanna University Orchestra and Symphonic Band.

Rehearsals for the free Ensemble will take place from  4:30pm to 6:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning June 26 and continue until  August 2.               Rehearsal times are flexible and may be changed after the initial meeting.

The Flute Ensemble is one of the many programs of the NJWA Music Studio, a 501 © 3 non-profit organization, located at 150-152 East Broad Street in Westfield.  For more information visit their studio, phone 908-789-9696, email njwa2@aol.com and visit their web site at www.njworkshopforthearts.com.
