Evalyn Dunn's Gallery hosts meet & greet events every Saturday in Spring.

Two thousand and eight marks a business milestone for Evalyn Dunn's Gallery of Westfield. The art gallery and full conservation and custom frame shop is celebrating 50 years of service to Westfield and the surrounding communities.

The business, which was founded by Evalyn and Benjamin Dunn in 1958 to import oil paintings from Europe, was originally located in Roselle. In 1970 the Dunns moved the business to Westfield.

Now run by Jacie Civins, the younger of the Dunn's two daughters, Evalyn Dunn's Gallery has expanded over the years to offer museum quality conservation framing of original art, historical preservation, digital photograph restoration, and special orders of art reproductions.

In addition, Evalyn Dunn's Gallery showcases the art of many fine artists from the traditional to the contemporary to the abstract.

"I didn't realize the impact of being in business for 50 years until I started focusing on the anniversary and I realized how unique it is to be celebrating 50 years. There aren't many businesses that stay in business this long. I have a lot of pride in the business and its growth," said Ms. Civins.

In celebration of Evalyn Dunn's Gallery's 50th Anniversary, Ms. Civins is planning to hold a special drawing at 4 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month. Anyone who purchases from Evalyn Dunn's Gallery during any given month is automatically entered to win a prize, which include a hand-painted mirror, a book on the artist Pino, a painting by Cora, etchings, gift certificates, upgrades on services, (glass, mats, etc.), sculpture, a painting by Ron Hedrick, and other valuable items. Those who do not win are automatically entered in subsequent monthly drawings. Refreshments will be served.

In addition, Ms. CIvins will be presenting gifts and gift certificates throughout the year to her loyal customers to show her appreciation of their business.
