OPTIONS FOR BUSINESSES

Options for Monday – Friday

FREE parking along Elm Street (past Stop & Shop) where there are no meters. No time limit.

 

FREE parking in permit spaces after 12:00pm in lot #3 (South Avenue Train lot - use walkway underneath tracks to come onto the North side) based on availability.

 

Long-Term (12 hour) parking pay stations

(pay station 5:00am – 5:00pm)

-         Lot # 3 (South Avenue)

-         Lot #6 (Watterson Street)  

 

Long-Term (9 hour) parking pay stations (hours 9:00am – 7pm)

-         Lot # 1 (off Prospect Street)

-         Lot #4 (off Elm St. or Mountain Ave.)

-         Orchard Street, Ferris Place, Elm Street (check for specific meters)

 

Mid- range (up to 4 hours) parking pay stations

-         Lot #1 (off Prospect Street)

-         Lot #2 (North Side Train Station)

-         Lot #4 (off Elm St. or Mountain Ave.)

-         Lot # 5 (off Central Ave. or Elmer Street)

-         Lot #7 (across from Post Office)

 

Permit Parking for Employees (with appropriate permit available from Parking Services)

 

Lot # 8 on Elm Street (across from Haven Savings Bank). Currently subject to a waiting list.

 

Lot #9 at North & Central (next to UBS/Blockbuster building)

 

COST OF PERMIT

$702 PER YEAR/ $390 SEMI-ANNUAL

(Effective 1/1/06, the rates have been reduced to $576 per year/$360 semi-annual)

 

Based on a calendar year.  Rates are pro-rated. There is a waiting list for permits.

Options for Saturday

In addition to the above options, please note:

 

  • There is FREE parking all day in Lot # 3, 6, 8, 9 at the permit spots

 

Options for Sunday

Parking is always FREE on Sunday.

EMPLOYEES ARE STRONGLY URGED TO PARK IN LOTS, NOT ON THE STREET.

 

Meter feeding of on-street parking meters is strictly enforced from 9 am to 7 pm Mon - Sat.  Parkers who need to park longer than 2 hours should use the parking lots or they may receive multiple tickets.
