Pursuant to N.J.A.C 5:70-2.9 of the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code, all vendors using commercial cooking equipment or open-flame devices for cooking at a public gathering are required to be inspected and obtain a Type 1 permit from the Fire Official.
All propane tanks must be secured to a stationary object by cable or chain.
One 10-lb. ABC portable fire extinguisher shall be readily available for use by all employees.
Cooking devices shall not be placed into operation until an inspection is conducted by the Westfield Fire Department.
All Cooking suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers must have an up-to-date certification tag.
