Santa Convoy

Santa Convoy

Update 12/16/2022 - 2:00pm

One last update before the Santa Convoy!

Due to the overwhelming response to our inaugural Santa Convoy, we are unable to stop and will need to keep moving at a slow pace.  We are going to do our best to pass the 600 houses that signed up, but we only have 6 hours scheduled.  Please listen for the sirens and music and when you see the Santa Convoy, please come curbside.  A vehicle will then stop curbside to provide a candy cane.

If you have friends or neighbors in the area, we encourage you to gather at one location or house.

While we encourage photos, it will be impossible to stop at each house for photos.  If you do take photos, please tag @WestfieldNJPD on Facebook and Instagram, or use the hashtag #SantaConvoy.

Lastly, please visit our Facebook page to view the live tracking of the Santa Convoy.

ROUTES ARE NOW PUBLISHED!

The Westfield Police Department will be partnering with the Westfield Fire Department, the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Westfield Department of Public Works to escort Santa around Westfield to hand out candy canes to children.

The Santa Convoy will be driving around Westfield on Saturday, December 17 at the times listed below:

Northside

9:30am to 12:30pm

Southside

1:00pm to 4:00pm

Due to an overwhelming response, the sign-up has ended.  This doesn't mean that you can't participate.  If the Santa Convoy passes your house on the published route, please step outside to wave and receive your candy cane.  If your street is not on the published route, we encourage you to walk or drive to the nearest street or intersection to wave and receive your candy cane.

Due to the size of the convoy, we will not be able to visit any dead-end streets.  We encourage those who live on a dead-end street to walk to the nearest intersection.

If you have any questions, please email santaconvoy@wpdnj.org.
