The vision of the Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC) is for Westfield, NJ to be a preferred destination where people want to live, work and visit--a place where our community connects and drives business to the District. The DWC is committed to strengthening the downtown Special Improvement District as the center of community life; improving the District's economic viability by supporting existing businesses; encouraging the establishment of new enterprises; supporting cultural activities that complement existing stores and services; making Downtown Westfield a safer, cleaner and more attractive pedestrian environment, with adequate public parking to serve the needs of local residents and attract new shoppers and visitors from throughout the region; preserving the rich architectural legacy of the downtown area.
DWC oversees the four points approach of a designated Main Street community, including Design, Economic Vitality, Organization, and Promotions.
The DWC organizes and sponsors many downtown promotional events, including the Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz & Music Festival, Downtown Westfield 5K & Pizza Extravaganza, Second Sundays, Girls' Night Out, Pugley's Trick or Treat & Costume Contest, and Welcome Home to Westfield Holiday Events.
