Ed Menapace, one of the owners of The Farmhouse Store in Westfield, met with his friend and HGTV personality, Genevieve Gorder, at the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina during the week of October 19th. They met to discuss their current projects. Menapace introduced Gorder to some of his favorite designers and vendors so that they could compare notes on trends in high design and home décor.
Menapace and acclaimed designer Gorder were introduced in April 2012 when her designs for Capel Rugs were launched. Since then they have kept up professional and personal relationships. The two designers hope to collaborate on a design project in the future.
Genevieve Gorder is an acclaimed interior designer. In addition to her work on television shows like HGTV's Dear Genevieve, Genevieve’s Renovation, HGTV's White House Christmas, and as a judge on HGTVStar, Gorder was one of the original designers on TLC's hit TV series, Trading Spaces. Gorder's work has been featured in many major publications, and she has appeared numerous times on Oprah, The Nate Berkus Show, The View, Today, and CNN.
The Farmhouse Store occupies 10,000 sq. ft. and two floors at 221 East Broad St. in Westfield, NJ. It sells an eclectic mix of furniture, upholstery, rugs, lighting, American craft, gifts, jewelry, and home accessories.
