C.J. Reycraft, Jr, award-winning chef and owner of the restaurant formerly known as Amuse, has reopened his space at 39 Elm St. in Downtown Westfield as Butcher Block Burgers. The restaurant features some of Amuse’s most popular items — gourmet burgers — as well as sandwiches, salads, ice cream desserts and sides like lobster mac & cheese.

“Everyone loves a burger,” Reycraft said. “If I had to choose my last meal it would definitely be a burger with fries and a Coke.”

While classic beef burgers are a big part of the menu, diners can also expect some more exotic options.

“Duck burgers, lamb burgers, shrimp burgers to name a few,” Reycraft said. “We have a lot of signature burgers set up with amazing sauces and ingredients and a build-your-own option too.”

The signature Butcher Block Burger is a 6 oz. dry-aged burger blend with caramelized onions, gruyere cheese and horseradish mayonnaise on a brioche bun.
